Admissions

Office of the Ombudspersons

"Linda Edge, Administrative Specialist in the Office of Student Support Services, serves as the student ombudsperson. Ms. Edge has worked at UGA for 16 years assisting students, parents, faculty, and staff. In her role in Student Support Services, Ms. Edge assists students who need to withdraw from the University because of hardship circumstances. She works with students in crisis situations and with faculty and staff who deal with students in crises. She helps students who are facing long-term absences and those seeking grade appeals navigate through University policies and procedures, and she is a knowledgeable source of information regarding University resources."

Main Library

"The Main Library collects material in the arts and humanities, social sciences and business. It also contains a large government documents collection, the Media Department, and a substantial microform collection, and in addition is the home of the Libraries Administration. The Music Research Collection is located on the 7th Floor of the Main Library, and includes books, scores, periodicals, and microforms. The Libraries’ collection of commercially distributed motion pictures, television and radio programs is provided through the Media Department in the basement of the Main Library. The statewide Digital Library of Georgia is also based in the Main Library."

Science Library

The Science Library supports collections for research and instruction in the physical and life sciences. The collection presently contains over 750,000 volumes and over 3,000 print journal titles.

Miller Learning Center

The Miller Learning Center, a 200,000-square foot electronic library and classroom facility at the heart of campus, is designed to function for the way today's students learn. It combines an electronic library, providing access to online journals and books, research databases and electronic indexes with research and study space for 2,240 students, 500 computers with the latest software, and a pervasive wireless network.

Ramsey Student Center

The Ramsey Student Center is a UGA recreational sport facility designed to accommodate a wide range of student interests as they pertain to physical fitness. This facility provides opportunities for general fitness & wellness, outdoor recreation, aquatics, club sports, and intramural sports. Full-time students pay a mandatory fee as part of their tuition that grants them access to this facility.

University Housing
